Review: Stardom – 2017.10.29 – Mask Fiesta

Kikimaru (Hanan) vs. Bear Cat (Ruaka) vs. Starlight Kid
A very good showing from the three youngsters. All three managed to squeeze in a good kip up and the work throughout looked solid. Starlight Kid pinned Hanan after a standing moonsault. 2.25/5

Nightmare Demon (Bea Priestley) & Lady Punk (Chardonnay) vs. Sweet and Spicy (Kelly Klein) & Spindra (Scarlett)
Slightly sloppy throughout but this was good fun. Spindra (Scarlett) using invisible webs to throw around Lady Punk (Chardonnay) was a highlight. The ending seemed slightly botched though as the time-limit draw bell rang with not much really going on in the ring. 2.5/5

Oedo Tai (Gekimaru (Kagetsu), Kikahime (Hana Kimura) & Gakirou (Kris Wolf)) vs. Shiki Melody (Shiki Shibusawa), Viola Tiger (Natsuko Tora) & Fairy God Jungle (Jungle Kyona)
Shiki Melody was dominated by Oedo Tai until Fairy God Jungle entered the ring and toppled everyone, including the referee, using her magic wand’s power. Viola Tiger got in the ring and delivered a great spear to Kikahime. The Fairy God Jungle summoned an anime power ball but Kikahime blocked it and returned it at the Fairy. Fairy God Jungle stopped time but Kikahime was able to free herself before she was pinned. Fairy God Jungle took her frustration out on P-Chan before Oedo Tai isolated and pinned Shiki Melody for the win. Really fun!  3.5/5

Chupa Panda (HZK), Iotica (Io Shirai) & Mini Iotica (AZM) vs Aloha Beat (Yoko Bito), Wan-Chan (Konami) & Shout Woman (Hiromi Mimura)
Another really fun match. This one featured water pistols and a suicide dive by the referee. Everyone got their moment to shine and Hiromi Mimura yet again displayed excellent comedy skills and character work. Their wasn’t much actual wrestling but it was not needed as this was a very entertaining end to a good show. Io Shirai pinned Hiromi Mimura after a moonsault. 3.75/5
